Professional and Calm in a Crisis (or All About Freaking Out)
Presented by Ronda Lawson, BDO Seidman

How many times have you been at work when things weren't going as planned?   I mean something major has gone wrong, the boss is pointing fingers at you, the project is not going to make the day's deadline, etc. and you're at your wits end, can barely think straight, you want to yell, scream, cry---you can hardly keep your cool.   Well, this is the program you won't want to miss.   Our discussion of maintaining professionalism during times of stress will cover everything below:

     ~What does "professional" mean
~What's the benefit of remaining professional under pressure?
     ~What pressures can we avoid?
     ~The pressure chain
     ~Interpretation - What's really going on?
     ~Perspective
     ~"Awfulizing" and other irrational thinking
~The horse and the rider (how your brain reacts and how to help control it)
     ~Behavioral change
