GRC held it's second "Dine and Donate" event on July 21st. This time it was at the Roseville Boston Market. We had a wonderful time and Ken Peters, Manager, at the Foothills Blvd. location made us all feel welcome and loved with their ever famous Boston Market Chocolate Chip Fudge Brownies (need I say more) and his personal attention. We'll know how well the fundraiser went in a few weeks. Many thanks to Ken and the friendly staff at Boston Market! GRC Host's its first ever "Professional Development Seminar" On Saturday, May 22nd, GRC had its first ever "Professional Development Seminar." It was a fantastic turn out with four great speakers touching on the topics of inspiration, being in charge, networking, software, productivity, and new technology. Not to mention the delicious breakfast and lunch. Kristi LeGue, Inspirational Speaker, inspired us with the power we have within ourselves, harnessing it, and using it to our advantage. John Waller, Self-proclaimed Geek, provided tips and methods for networking, and shared new technology/software. Marsha Young, SPHR, was a true driving inspiration; teaching us to achieve, influence, and manage our outcomes to become a leader. Mike Toibin from Sanford showed us the latest and greatest in writing implements, new labeling machines, and using mail merges with the labeling machines. Our own Theresa Souza was the winner of Sanford's Dymo 450 Labeler, and Cheri Miller, our newest GRC member, won the Wine/Snack Door Prize Basket. Congrats to both ladies! Johnny Garlic's Dine & Donate Event Thanks to Guy Fieri's Johnny Garlic's for allowing us to host a "Dine & Donate" event on April 27th at the Roseville Johnny Garlic's located at 10505 Fairway Drive, Roseville, CA (Hwy 65 and Fairway Drive). GRC earned 25% of the evening's pre-tax profit, as long as guests gave our event flyer to their dining host/hostess. If you were unable to stay for dinner or drinks at the bar, you could order and take your food to go. This was a creative way to help the chapter and to finish off "Administrative Professionals Month," as well as promote a local business.
